How to cook lotus root

1. Lotus root recipe - Lotus root juice glutinous rice porridge

Step 1: Wash the glutinous rice and bring it to a boil in water.

Step 2: After washing the lotus root , peel and slice it, then put it into a juicer and add water to extract the juice.

Step 3: Put glutinous rice and lotus root juice into the pot and cook slowly over low heat.

Step 4: Wait until the porridge boils and becomes thick, then add sugar for seasoning.

2. How to cook lotus root - Braised pork ribs with lotus root

Step 1: Remove the skin of the lotus root, rinse it under running water, cut it into long strips and soak it in clean water.

Step 2: Choose 70 grams of flour, beat in an egg and 50 grams of dry starch, and stir into a paste.

Step 3: Put the casserole on the fire, pour in peanut oil and heat it up, take a lotus root strip, coat it with batter and fry it in the pan.

Step 4: After the outer layer is fried until golden brown, remove from the oil, then replace with a new batch of oil and fry again.

Step 5: Remove from the heat and drain the oil.

Step 6: Add oil to the pot again, add onion and ginger to sauté, add soy sauce and sugar, bring to a boil, then add a bowl of water for the sauce.

Step 7: After stir-frying evenly, add the ribs and lotus root and stir-fry evenly.

Step 8: Finally add sesame oil and vinegar and stir-fry evenly.
