Kuding Tea

Kuding Tea

Kudingcha Introduction

There are wins and losses, advantages and disadvantages, good and bad. Everything has two sides. Drinking tea has benefits for the body, but also disadvantages.

The efficacy and function of Kuding tea

Kuding tea can regulate the body's metabolism in both directions, enhance the body's immune function, and has the effects of clearing the throat, clearing away heat and detoxifying, protecting the liver and relieving alcohol, and relieving inflammation and facilitating bowel movements.

Functions and indications: dispel wind and heat; improve eyesight and promote the production of body fluids. It is used to treat wind-heat headaches; toothaches; red eyes; ear problems; mouth sores; fever and thirst; diarrhea; and dysentery. [7]

Medicinal effects

Kuding tea has obvious medicinal effects. Chinese medicine believes that it has the effects of dispersing wind and heat, clearing the head and eyes, and eliminating thirst. It can be used to treat headaches, toothaches, red eyes, fever, thirst, dysentery, etc. Modern pharmacological research has proved that Kuding tea not only contains a variety of essential amino acids, vitamins and trace elements such as zinc, manganese, and rubidium, but also has the effects of lowering blood lipids, increasing coronary blood flow, increasing myocardial blood supply, and resisting atherosclerosis. It is very effective for dizziness, headaches, chest tightness, fatigue, and insomnia in patients with cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.

It has a good preventive and therapeutic effect on symptoms such as leukemia and leukorrhea, so it is very popular among middle-aged and elderly people.

Lowering the three highs

When Kuding tea is used as medicine, it has a very good therapeutic effect on diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia.

For example, when it is used to lower blood pressure, lower blood lipids, facilitate bowel movements, reduce internal heat, clear the throat, treat gums, and tooth inflammation, the concentration and duration of drinking are different due to different constitutions and conditions. Generally speaking, patients with severe conditions and weight should drink a relatively larger dose and a longer time, and vice versa. Generally speaking, the higher the drinking concentration, the faster the effect; the lower the drinking concentration, the slower the effect. Generally speaking, the concentration of Kudingcha when used as medicine is 2-3 times that of when used as tea. The method of drinking is: soak 2-3 teas each in the morning, afternoon, and evening, and chew the tea buds when drinking until it has no taste. The effect of drinking is more obvious through gastric mucosal absorption; if you feel that your condition has been alleviated, you can appropriately reduce the concentration; if you feel that your condition has not improved significantly, you can appropriately increase the dosage.

For patients with high blood pressure, high blood lipids, high blood sugar and other diseases, after drinking Kuding tea to lower blood pressure, blood lipids and blood sugar, you can appropriately reduce the drinking concentration, but do not stop completely, so as to avoid recurrence of the disease. If the concentration of Kuding tea is appropriate, blood pressure and blood lipids can be lowered within 20 to 30 days. This is the value of Kuding tea.

Kuding tea has a good preventive and therapeutic effect on the above-mentioned diseases. Consumers usually drink Kuding tea as tea to prevent the occurrence of various diseases and achieve the effect of health care.

Side effects and contraindications of Kuding tea

It is also not suitable for women during menstruation and new mothers. Women are in a state of blood loss during menstruation and their resistance is reduced. Drinking bitter gourd tea at this time can easily cause qi and blood to become stagnant due to cold, poor menstrual blood discharge, and cause dysmenorrhea. In severe cases, it can even cause irregular menstruation. Women who often suffer from dysmenorrhea should drink less bitter gourd tea even if they are not menstruating. Mothers who have just given birth are weak and should eat more warming foods. The side effect of cold bitter gourd tea is that it is not only not conducive to the recovery of the uterus after childbirth, but also hurts the spleen and stomach, which can easily cause lingering and difficult-to-heal chills, cold pain in the abdomen, etc.

Cold constitution: The most prominent feature of cold constitution is that people are particularly afraid of cold in winter and often feel cold hands and feet. People with this constitution like to eat warm foods such as mutton and dog meat, and are not easy to "get angry", but after drinking Kuding tea, the symptoms of cold hands and feet will be aggravated. What are the side effects of Kuding tea? It is not conducive to the improvement of cold constitution, and severe cases may even cause abdominal pain, diarrhea and other symptoms.

People suffering from colds: Winter is the peak season for colds. People suffering from colds should eat more warm foods, such as ginger, to eliminate the cold in the body. If you drink bitter gourd tea at this time, it will hinder the dissipation of the cold and is not conducive to the recovery of the cold.

Patients with chronic gastroenteritis: Patients with chronic gastroenteritis often have varying degrees of spleen and stomach deficiency and coldness. When the abdomen is cold or cold food is eaten, it is easy to have stomach pain or diarrhea. Kuding tea will aggravate these symptoms. In addition, the spleen and stomach function of the elderly is relatively weakened, and the spleen and stomach function of infants and young children is not yet sound. They should not drink Kuding tea, otherwise it is easy to cause side effects such as indigestion, anorexia, and diarrhea.

How to brew Kuding tea

How to drink

The key points of brewing Kuding tea are: first, the water should be boiled; second, the water quality should be good, preferably mineral water, spring water or purified water. Third, porcelain or pottery should be used as tea sets, which will taste better. Fourth, the amount should be small, Kuding tea has the characteristics of small amount, strong taste and long-lasting brewing.

For those who are new to Kuding tea, if they use 250 ml of boiling water to brew 2 to 3 tea buds, they may find it too bitter. Generally speaking, a Kuding tea bud with one bud and two to three leaves usually weighs 0.3 to 0.4g, and it can be brewed and drunk with 1000 ml of boiling water. For first-time drinkers, the taste will not seem very light at all. Even if several people drink the same pot of tea, they cannot put a large amount of Kuding tea to brew, but should put one or two at a time until the taste becomes lighter, and chew the tea buds for better results. The fifth is hot drink, especially for those with stomach cold diseases, but for those who do not have stomach problems, the cool Kuding tea water is even more sweet and refreshing.

Kuding tea can be brewed alone or mixed with other teas or medicinal materials. Kuding tea alone has its original flavor and is sweet and refreshing. When it is mixed with other teas, such as oolong tea, green tea, Longjing tea, Maojian tea, and scented tea, it has the aroma of these teas and the sweet and throat-soothing properties of Kuding tea. Kuding tea is known as the "brave tea" among teas, meaning that no matter what kind of tea, Kuding tea can match it in taste. Generally speaking, the ratio of Kuding tea to other teas is 1:9, and preferably not more than 2:8, otherwise the Kuding tea will cover up the flavor of other teas. Therefore, people in Lingzhen area always like to add one or two pieces of Kuding tea as seasoning when brewing tea, and use Kuding tea as "MSG in tea". [12]

Kuding tea is called tea, but it is actually a medicine. It has the characteristics of "medicine". For people with stomach cold diseases, it can be brewed with hot teas such as black tea and oolong tea, or with hot tonic herbs such as ginseng, guiyuan, red hawthorn, wolfberry, and rock sugar. Although this brewing method has a certain neutralizing effect on the medicinal properties of Kuding tea, it can also have the advantages of other teas and medicines. In summer, it can also be brewed with honey to make Kuding tea nectar, which has an excellent taste and is refreshing and thirst-quenching. Precautions Winter and spring are the high-incidence seasons for colds; for people suffering from colds, such as aversion to cold and no sweat, runny nose, etc., they can eat some warm foods, such as ginger, schizonepeta, etc., to remove the cold in the body. Drinking Kuding tea at this time will hinder the dissipation of wind and cold, which is not conducive to the cure of colds. People with weak and cold constitutions often feel that their hands and feet are not warm and they are afraid of cold. People with this constitution can usually consider eating warm foods such as mutton and dog meat to warm the yang and dispel the cold. If you often drink Kuding tea, which is cold in nature, it will damage the yang energy in the body, which is not conducive to the improvement of deficiency and cold symptoms. In severe cases, you may even experience abdominal pain, diarrhea and other symptoms of yang deficiency. Most patients with chronic gastroenteritis have varying degrees of spleen and stomach deficiency and coldness. Once the abdomen is cold or cold food is eaten, they are prone to abdominal pain, diarrhea and other discomforts. Kuding tea will aggravate these symptoms.

Long-term drinking of Kuding tea is not good for the fertility of men and women. "Supplement to Compendium of Materia Medica" says it can inactivate pregnancy. "Chinese Medical Dictionary" says it can cool the uterus.

I hope people who drink Kuding tea for a long time can pay attention to this.

Further research is needed on the processing, deep processing, trade and physiological and biochemical mechanisms, especially on the functional components of Kudingcha, to promote the development of Kudingcha beverage resources.
