How long is the shelf life of Matsutake?

1. If fresh matsutake mushrooms are not artificially processed, their shelf life at room temperature is very short, only two days.

2. Wrapping fresh matsutake mushrooms with organic leaves, covering them and placing them in a cool, humid place can extend the shelf life, but only for about four days.

3. Putting fresh matsutake in a fresh-keeping bag and placing it in the refrigerator can effectively extend the shelf life, generally for a week.

4. Freeze fresh matsutake mushrooms in the freezer of the refrigerator. The shelf life can reach several months. Thaw them with boiling water when eating. This way, the thawed matsutake mushrooms will not become thin.

5. Slice the Matsutake and dry it. The longest shelf life can be up to one year, but this will definitely affect the taste, so choose carefully.
