Today I will tell you about the summer tomato seedling raising technology, everyone take a good look 1. Choose good varieties.Choose short-seedling early-maturing varieties with strong adaptability, disease resistance, high quality and high yield, such as Lufen No. 2, Jinfen 65, Zaofeng, Zaokui, etc. In areas where virus diseases are more serious, you can also choose mid-late maturing varieties that are more resistant to virus diseases, such as Qiangli Mishou, Qiangfeng, Lufen No. 1, Shuangkang No. 2, Zhongza No. 4, etc. However, it is necessary to sow early at the right time, leave 2 ears of fruit after planting and top them early. 2. Selection and arrangement of seedling beds.Choose a stubble field that has not been planted with tomatoes, peppers and other Solanaceae vegetables within three years and has convenient irrigation and drainage as the nursery bed; in areas where virus diseases are prevalent, it is best not to have cucumber fields near the nursery bed. The nursery bed should be made into a half-high bed with a width of 1-1.5 meters, or a flat bed with easy drainage, and fully decomposed manure should be used as base fertilizer. Deep plowing and then raking should be carried out. 3. Choose a suitable sowing period. In the northern region, the best time is generally from late July to early August. If the sowing is too early, the high temperature period of the seedling stage is too long, and the disease is serious; if the sowing is late, the disease is light, but the fruit has not grown or matured after planting, the weather has turned cold, and the yield is low. In areas with light diseases and cool summers, it is appropriate to sow later; choose medium and late maturing varieties to sow early, and early maturing varieties to sow later. 4. Seed treatment before sowing.3-4 days before sowing, soak the seeds in 10% trisodium phosphate solution for 20 minutes to inactivate the viruses carried by the seeds. Then wash the solution with clean water, put the seeds in 50℃ warm water, stir and cool to 30℃, let it soak for 3 hours, then remove the seeds, drain, wrap them with wet cloth, and place them at room temperature for germination. During the germination period, wash them with clean water once a day to prevent mold. After germination, first water the seedling bed, sow at 4-5 pm, and cover them with 1-1.5 cm of soil after sowing. 5. Seedbed management for sowing beds. After sowing, build a pergola on the nursery bed, and cover it with thin straw curtains to provide shade and cool down from 10 am to 3 pm on sunny days. Thin out the seedlings in time after emergence, and spray 800-1000 times diluted malathion or omethoate every 5-7 days to prevent and control aphids in the seedlings. If the seedlings are dry, water them appropriately; on rainy days, cover the pergola with plastic film to prevent rain. 6. Seedbed management of separate seedling beds.Choose fresh stubble land as seedling beds, and apply decomposed manure as base fertilizer in the beds; when the soil fertility is poor, 1 kg of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer can be mixed in each standard bed (33.3 square meters), and the bed soil is deeply turned to mix the fertilizer with the soil, and the bed surface is raked flat. When the seedlings have 2-3 true leaves, the seedlings are transplanted, and the seedling spacing is 10-12 cm. During the slow seedling period after transplanting, a shed can be appropriately built around noon for shade. It is not advisable to control the growth of seedlings too much. When the bed soil is dry, water it as appropriate, and cooperate with hoeing to conserve moisture. Water and cut into pieces 3-5 days before transplanting. After cutting, take rain prevention measures so that the seedlings can be transplanted with soil. |
