Preparation of bean curd with sand

If you want to use sand to grow bean sprouts at home, you need to prepare some river sand, some deep basins, an appropriate amount of mung beans and a piece of dark-colored cloth.

Specific steps of using sand to make beans

1. Soak the prepared mung beans in water for at least 24 hours, until the surface of the mung beans turns slightly white.

2. Put the prepared river sand in a deeper basin, and then spray water on the river sand. The amount of water sprayed should be appropriate. It is best to make the river sand completely wet without water flowing out.

3. Wrap the soaked mung beans in a dark cloth, making sure to leave enough space when wrapping. Then take out some sand from the basin, leaving about two centimeters at the bottom, and put the wrapped mung beans in.

4. Cover the mung beans with sand to a thickness of about four centimeters. Put the pot in a cool place and spray water once a day. After five or six days, the bean sprouts will grow out and there will be obvious protrusions on the surface of the sand. At this time, take out the cloth containing the bean sprouts, and then take out the bean sprouts. After washing the sand on the surface, the fresh bean sprouts are ready.
