Ingredients for triangular rice dumplings

Appropriate amounts of glutinous rice, rice dumplings leaves, thin ropes, red dates or bean paste. The red dates or bean paste here can also be replaced by other fillings.

Steps for wrapping triangular rice dumplings

1. Soak the glutinous rice in water for about two hours, then take it out. Soak the zongzi leaves in water for a while in advance. This will make it more resilient and easier to wrap the zongzi.

2. Take out two pieces of soaked zongzi leaves, overlap them and slightly offset them. Then fold up a small part of the lower zongzi leaf, then fold it to the right at a 90-degree angle, and then fold it to the left.

3. At this time, a cone-shaped shape will appear in your hand. Press it around with your hands, hold it between your thumb and the other four fingers, put the prepared glutinous rice in it, and put bean paste or red dates in the middle.

4. Fold the front leaves inward, the back leaves forward, and the left and right leaves towards each other. Finally, fold the extra leaves downward, take out the string and wrap the wrapped zongzi tightly, and a nice triangular zongzi is ready. Put them in a pressure cooker and cook them on high heat for about an hour, then take them out and eat.
