Snow lotus mushroom, also known as Tibetan Ling Mushroom, originated from Tibet. It is made by putting milk in a sheepskin bag and fermenting it naturally. After long-term fermentation, unique bacterial particles will form in the bag. It is now a very popular dairy product. In summer, many people like to drink snow lotus mushroom yogurt, thinking that it has great effects, but there is a question whether there are any harms in taking snow lotus mushroom for a long time.

1. Snow lotus fungus also contains some Gram-positive bacteria, bifidobacteria, and some very small microorganisms. Staphylococcus aureus among Gram-positive bacteria can grow and reproduce under suitable temperature and poor ventilation environment, and produce some toxins, which can cause cancer after consumption.

2. Repeatedly rinsing the snow lotus fungus with cold water in the summer does not take proper disinfection measures, and homemade yogurt will be more easily contaminated with many external bacteria.

3. Many people use snow lotus fungus to make yogurt in daily life. The containers and operation processes have not been technically processed. If milk is fermented in this way, it is definitely not drinkable because there will be a large number of bacteria in it.

4. Long-term use of snow lotus fungus can cause secondary infection, which refers to gastrointestinal flora disorder.

5. Do not use metal containers for cultivating snow lotus fungus. All glass containers should be used. The containers should be clean, free of dampness, odor, or spicy smell. They should not be placed in bookcases or in places that are too cold or too hot.
