1. Cherry peppers.

2. Conical peppers.

The plant is short, and the fruit is conical or cylindrical, mostly growing upwards, and is spicy. For example, the chicken heart pepper from Cangping;

3. Cluster peppers.

The leaves are narrow and long, the fruits grow in clusters, grow upward, are dark red, have thin flesh, are very spicy, and have high oil content. They are mostly cultivated as dried peppers. They are late-maturing, heat-resistant, and highly resistant to viruses. Such as Guizhou Qixing pepper, etc.

4. Long peppers.

The plant type is short to tall, with strong branching, small or medium leaves, and the fruit is generally drooping, long horn-shaped, with a pointed tip, slightly curved, like horns, sheep horns, or linear. The flesh is thin or thick, thin and spicy, for drying, pickling or making chili sauce, such as Shaanxi's big horn pepper; thick flesh, moderately spicy for fresh consumption. Such as Changsha horn pepper, etc.

5. Sweet bell peppers.

The branching is weak, and the leaves and fruits are large.

According to the growth, branching and fruiting habits of peppers, they can also be divided into indefinite growth type, finite growth type and partially finite growth type.

6. Pepper

A specialty of Sichuan and Chongqing, it is spicy and fragrant.
