What should I do if tomatoes get gray mold? How can I better prevent and control it?

Agricultural control

Appropriately apply more phosphorus and potassium fertilizers to improve the disease resistance of plants. Promote drip irrigation and sub-film dark irrigation technology to prevent flooding. Remove the remaining petals and stigmas in time at the early stage of the disease, remove diseased leaves and fruits, and remove diseased plants to prevent the spread of the disease.

Ecological prevention

With the goal of increasing temperature and removing moisture, ventilation management should be strengthened. The specific approach is to close the shed and raise the temperature in the morning on sunny days. When the temperature reaches 28℃~30℃ for 1 hour, start to release the top wind, and continue to release the wind at noon, so that the temperature is kept between 20℃~25℃.

Close the vents when the temperature reaches 18℃~20℃ in the afternoon, keep the night temperature at 14℃~16℃, and the relative humidity at 70%~80%.

Chemical control

Before transplanting, spray the seedlings with 1500 times diluted 50% cypermethrin wettable powder or 500 times diluted 50% carbendazim wettable powder to prevent bacteria from entering the greenhouse.

In the early stage of the disease, use 2000-3000 times of 50% prochlorperazine wettable powder and 3000-4000 times of 45% tekodo suspension, spray once every 7-10 days, spray 3-4 times. Gray mold fungi are prone to drug resistance, so the amount of medicine and the number of times of application should be minimized during prevention and control, and attention should be paid to rotating and alternating the use of medicines.
