Tomato gray mold introduction:

Gray mold mainly harms tomatoes, cucumbers, eggplants, peppers, etc. When the disease occurs in seedlings, the leaf tips turn yellow and the lesions are V-shaped. When the leaves of mature plants are affected, light brown lesions begin to appear on the leaves. Gradually, dark and light rings are formed, and then the leaves die. Small water-soaked spots are produced, and a large amount of gray-white mold is produced when the humidity is high. The affected fruits are gray-white and soft, and the disease peaks during the fruit setting period.

Tomato gray mold prevention and control methods

1. Strengthen field management: During the flowering period of tomatoes, control the amount and frequency of water use, reduce humidity, and frequently ventilate and reduce humidity in the greenhouse.

2. Use protective fungicides such as Antason for preventive control in the early stage of the disease, and control once every 5 to 7 days. Use curative fungicides such as Suclorin, Shijialer, Horlicks, and Nonglin for control during the peak period of the disease.

3. Chemical control: Spray 50% procymidone wettable powder 1500-2000 times or 50% ipromide wettable powder 1000-1500 times or 40% styrene suspension 800-1200 times or 43% hollick suspension 3000-4000 times or 50% vinyl sclerotium dry suspension 1000 times or 10% polyoxin 80-420 times or 50% holmosin wettable powder 800 times for control. It is best to use these drugs alternately to avoid resistance.
