The efficacy and function of peas

Peas have certain nutritional value, so what are the effects and functions of peas? Today I will share with you:

Pea Introduction:

Pea is also known as Bi bean, snow pea, winter bean, wheat bean and cold bean.

Peas are highly adaptable and widely distributed around the world. In my country, peas have been cultivated for more than 2,000 years and are now cultivated everywhere. In life, peas are widely used. They can be fried as vegetables, and when the seeds are ripe, they can be ground into pea flour for consumption. Because the beans are round and bright green and look good, they are often used as side dishes to add color to dishes and stimulate appetite. Pea pods are emerald green and crisp after being fried, and the pea sprouts are also fresh and fragrant, making them suitable for making soup. Their nutritional value is roughly the same as that of peas. In addition, it is worth mentioning that cooking with foods rich in amino acids can significantly increase the nutritional value of peas.

Efficacy:

①Nourishes the kidney and spleen, relieves restlessness and quenches thirst.

② Promote growth and development. Peas are rich in protein, including various amino acids necessary for the human body. Regular consumption can promote growth and development, especially for children.

③It has antibacterial and anti-inflammatory effects and can enhance metabolism.

④ The young leaves of pea pods and bean sprouts are rich in vitamin C and enzymes that can break down nitrosamines in the body, so they have anti-cancer and cancer prevention effects.

⑤Prevent constipation, smooth the intestines, detoxify and beautify the skin.

Contraindications:

① Eating too many peas will cause abdominal bloating, so it is not advisable to eat them in large quantities.

②Many high-quality vermicelli are made from pea and other bean starch, but alum is often added during processing. If consumed in large quantities, it will increase the aluminum content in the body, thus affecting health. Therefore, you should avoid eating large amounts of vermicelli with alum.

③ Fried dry peas are particularly difficult to digest. Overeating can cause indigestion, abdominal bloating, etc.

Diet therapy:

Take 250 grams of tender peas, add appropriate amount of water, cook and eat lightly and drink the soup. This recipe can promote the production of body fluids and quench thirst, promote lactation and relieve swelling. It can be used to treat fever and thirst, as well as postpartum milk retention and breast swelling in women.

Take 120g of peas, 10g of dried orange peel, and 60g of coriander, add water and boil them together. Take warm in 2-3 times. This recipe is mainly used for dampness and turbidity obstruction, spleen and stomach disharmony, vomiting, diarrhea, and cramps.
