Medicinal value of black fungus

Black fungus, also known as wood moth, tree chicken, cloud ear, ear, etc., is an edible fungus that grows on rotten wood. It is named because of its light brown color and shape similar to human ears. Black fungus is extremely nutritious and was a delicacy enjoyed exclusively by ancient emperors. It has the reputation of "meat among vegetarians". According to the records in "Li Ji Nei Ze" and the annotations of Han scholar Zheng Xuan, as well as "Li Ji Ji Shuo" by Chen Hao of the Song Dynasty, black fungus was proved to be a delicacy enjoyed exclusively by emperors in ancient times.

Black fungus is crispy, tender and delicious, and is a favorite food for urban and rural people. Black fungus contains a large amount of carbohydrates, about 10% protein, fat, cellulose, iron, calcium, phosphorus, carotene, vitamin B1, B2 and C and other effective nutrients. According to laboratory analysis, every 100 grams of black fungus contains 375 mg of calcium, which is equivalent to 7 times that of crucian carp; it contains 185 mg of iron, which is equivalent to 70 times that of crucian carp. The colloid of black fungus is very attractive. It can collect dust and impurities remaining in people's digestive system and excrete them out of the body. It is a good health food for miners, textile workers, barbers and chemical workers.

Black fungus is a precious medicinal material. Li Shizhen, a famous medical scientist in the Ming Dynasty, recorded in Compendium of Materia Medica that black fungus is "sweet and mild in nature, and mainly treats invigorating qi and not being hungry". Modern medical workers have made new discoveries about the medicinal value of black fungus, believing that black fungus can also clear the lungs, moisten the body fluids, remove blood stasis and promote new growth. Black fungus also contains anti-cancer substances and is an anti-cancer medicinal food. Black fungus can also promote blood circulation in the human body and treat coronary heart disease.

According to experts, every 100 grams of black fungus contains 10.6 grams of protein, 1.2 grams of fat, 65.5 grams of carbohydrates, 7.0 grams of crude fiber, 357 milligrams of calcium, 201 milligrams of phosphorus, and 185 milligrams of iron; it also contains vitamin B1, vitamin B2, carotene, niacin and other vitamins and inorganic salts, phospholipids, plant sterols, etc. The iron content of black fungus is 20 times that of celery and 7 times that of pig liver. It is a very good natural blood tonic food; and the calcium content is equivalent to 7 times that of crucian carp.

Black fungus has the functions of improving intelligence and brain, nourishing and strengthening, replenishing blood and treating blood, nourishing yin and moistening dryness, nourishing stomach and laxative, clearing lungs and replenishing qi, calming and relieving pain, etc. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that black fungus can "replenish qi and prevent hunger, lighten the body and strengthen the will". Black fungus is rich in cellulose and a special plant colloid, which can promote gastrointestinal motility, promote the excretion of intestinal fat food, and reduce the absorption of food fat, thereby playing a role in weight loss. The colloid in black fungus has the effect of moistening the lungs and cleaning the stomach and intestines, and can absorb and excrete impurities and wastes remaining in the digestive tract. Therefore, it is also one of the important health foods for textile workers and miners. According to a study by the University of Minnesota Medical School, there is also a kind of nucleic acid substance in black fungus, which can reduce the cholesterol and triglyceride levels in the blood, which is quite beneficial for patients with coronary heart disease and arteriosclerosis. The polysaccharides in black fungus have anti-cancer effects and can be used as a diet therapy for tumor patients.

Easily treat diseases such as hypertension, vascular sclerosis, coronary heart disease, menorrhagia, leucorrhea, anemia, diabetes, etc.
