Can winter amaranth porridge induce labor?

Winter amaranth porridge is a folk remedy for inducing labor in some areas. It has certain benefits in accelerating the contraction of the female uterus and promoting childbirth. Because winter amaranth itself is a traditional Chinese medicine, regulating endocrine and accelerating uterine contraction are its main functions. In addition, cooking porridge with it and letting the mother eat it can also enhance the mother's physical strength, effectively speed up the delivery of the fetus and reduce the occurrence of dystocia symptoms.

How to cook winter amaranth porridge

Method 1

1. To make amaranth porridge, you need to prepare 250 grams of fresh amaranth, 100 grams of polished rice, and appropriate amounts of salt, MSG, lard and water.

2. Wash and cut the prepared winter amaranth into thin strips for later use. Soak the prepared glutinous rice in clean water for three hours, take it out and put it into a pot with clean water to cook. When the porridge is 80% cooked, put the prepared winter amaranth, salt, lard and other ingredients into the pot and cook until the porridge is cooked. The smooth winter amaranth porridge is ready.

Method 2

1. When cooking amaranth porridge, you can prepare 100 grams of fresh amaranth, 500 grams of lean meat, 100 grams of rice, an appropriate amount of salt, oil and MSG, and also a small amount of light soy sauce and cooking wine.

2. Wash the amaranth and cut it into fine pieces. Wash the rice and put it into the pot with water to cook. Cut the lean meat into minced meat and marinate it with cooking wine and light soy sauce for one hour.

3. When the porridge in the pot is almost cooked, put the prepared minced meat into the pot and cook together, then add the minced amaranth into the pot and cook together. Add salt and sesame oil to season before serving, then take out and eat.
