How to make bamboo sugarcane, impatiens and water chestnut porridge

Wash the rice and dried impatiens root. Wash the bamboo sugarcane, peel it, and chop it into small pieces. Wash the water chestnuts, peel them, and cut them in half.

Put the imperata roots and bamboo sugarcane pieces into the pot, add 1500ml of water, bring to a boil and continue cooking for 10 minutes. Then remove the imperata roots and bamboo sugarcane pieces, put in rice and water chestnut pieces, bring to a boil and then reduce the heat. After 50 minutes, add rock sugar to taste.
