4 liang of fresh lotus seeds, 4 liang of fresh lily bulbs, 2 liang of red beans, 1/2 cup of round glutinous rice, 12 cups of water, 2 liang of rock sugar

How to make lily, lotus seeds and red bean porridge

1. Wash the lotus seeds and remove the green core; wash the lilies and remove the stems; soak the red beans in cold water for 5 hours, then steam them in a rice cooker with enough water to cover the beans for 2 hours and set aside.

2. Soak the round glutinous rice in cold water for 2 hours and drain.

3. Take a deep pot, add 12 cups of water and bring to a boil over high heat, then turn to low heat, add the rice prepared in step 2 and cook for 40 minutes, then add the lotus seeds and red beans prepared in step 1 and continue cooking for 10 minutes, then add the lily prepared in step 1 and cook for 10 minutes, then add rock sugar to taste.
