12. To treat malaria: boil 4 slices of ginger and 15 grams of tea leaves in water, add appropriate amount of brown sugar, drink it while hot, twice a day.

13. To treat motion sickness and seasickness: stick a piece of ginger on the navel and a piece of analgesic plaster on the outside. It has a significant relieving effect.

14. To treat chilblains and frostbite: Mash an appropriate amount of ginger, soak it in an appropriate amount of white wine, take the juice, warm it, and wipe the affected area, 3 times a day.

⑤ 5 grams of ginger, 1 scallion, 15 grams of mung bean, 30 grams of radish, and 4 dates, decocted in water and taken 3 times a day, washed down with boiled water. It is effective for those with colds, fever, thirst and unresolved symptoms.

⑥ 30g each of ginger and green onion, 6g of salt, and a cup of white wine. Mash ginger, green onion, and salt into a paste, add white wine and mix well, apply to the chest, back, elbows, palms, and soles of feet. It is effective for colds, body aches, joint pains, and fever.

⑦ Boil 10 grams of old ginger, cut it open and rub it on Baihui, Dazhui, or from Dazhui down to Mingmen. Rub until the skin turns slightly red. This can eliminate chills, fear of cold, and body aches.

Ginger can ferment and rot under the action of bacteria, producing safrole, which can induce esophageal cancer and liver cancer and is seriously harmful to human health. Therefore, rotten ginger should not be eaten.
