Ingredients for Fangfeng porridge: 10 grams of Fangfeng, 5 grams of Patchouli, 3 stalks of green onion, 3 grams of white cardamom, and 100 grams of japonica rice.

How to make Fangfeng porridge

(1) Wash the radix fangfeng, patchouli, scallion and white cardamom with clean water, put them into a casserole and fry them together. After boiling for about 10 minutes, take the juice and discard the residue.

(2) Cook porridge with glutinous rice. When the porridge is almost cooked, add the medicinal juice and cook it into a thin porridge for consumption. Or add 3 slices of ginger and boil it with the other medicines. The porridge should be consumed while it is hot, preferably when a slight sweat is produced. Take 1 to 2 times a day for 3 to 5 consecutive days, preferably when it is warm.

Effects of the modified Fangfeng porridge: It has the effects of dispelling cold and clearing turbidity with aromatic properties. It is suitable for wind-cold exterior syndrome with diarrhea. Symptoms include aversion to cold and fever, nasal congestion and headache, limb aches and pains, clear and watery diarrhea, intestinal rumbling and abdominal pain, abdominal distension and loss of appetite, thin white or greasy fur, and a soft and slow pulse. It is caused by external factors. It is not suitable for diarrhea. Symptoms include yellow and turbid diarrhea, even violent diarrhea or pus and blood in the stool, burning sensation in the anus, fever, red tongue with thin yellow fur, and slippery and rapid pulse.

If it can be used to write large characters, its graceful and elegant style will be like eating parsnip porridge, which will make your mouth fragrant for three days."

The fangfeng in the porridge has the effects of dispelling wind and relieving exterior symptoms, removing dampness and relieving pain, and has a significant antipyretic effect, as well as anti-inflammatory and anti-allergic effects. The scallion has a significant diaphoretic effect, which can promote the flow of yang energy from top to bottom, induce sweating and relieve fever. The combination of the two is mainly used to treat colds caused by wind and cold, and is particularly suitable for the elderly, young and weak patients.
