1. Put the rice and beans in a plate, wash them briefly, and soak them for 2 hours (time is tight).

2. Then I chose to use the microwave to make porridge. Put the soaked rice into a microwave casserole and add water, about 2 fingers higher than the rice. Then cover the lid, put it in the microwave, select the porridge mode, and run it automatically for about 25 minutes. You can take it out and stir it halfway.

3. When the time is up, the rice and beans are basically cooked. If they are too dry, add some hot water, then put in red dates, nuts, and rock sugar and stir.

4. Put it in the microwave again, porridge setting for 10 minutes, then take it out and stir it, add candied fruit, if it is a little dry, you can add some hot water, continue to microwave, porridge setting for about 10-15 minutes, a pot of thick and fragrant Laba porridge is ready. Don't open the lid yet, let it simmer for more than 10 minutes, the taste will be better~

Tips

Cooking porridge in a microwave is easier than cooking it over a fire, because you don't need to watch over the fire, and you don't have to worry about the porridge being too thick and getting stuck in the pot. You should be careful not to add too much water at a time to prevent overflow. Also, when you open the lid of the casserole, don't point the jet of air at yourself to prevent being scalded by the steam.
