What is a jujube head? What is a jujube stock and a jujube hanger?

Some people have heard of the jujube head, but don't know much about it and don't know what it is. In fact, the jujube head, jujube stock and jujube pendant are all branches of the jujube tree, but they are different branches and have different functions. If you want to know specifically what the jujube head, jujube stock and jujube pendant are, you can follow the editor to find out.

What is jujube head?

1. The jujube head is a branch of the jujube tree, also called a nutrient branch. It is a branch that constitutes the crown skeleton of the jujube tree and is sprouted from the main bud of the jujube tree. The jujube head is mostly found at the top of the jujube tree. When it stops growing, the top buds of the jujube tree will also stop growing. They will grow new jujube heads in the second year.

2. The jujube head will also grow side buds, which will germinate into secondary branches in the same year. The base of the jujube head will be poorly developed and will automatically fall off after entering winter. This situation is called shed secondary branches. However, some secondary branches develop particularly well and will not fall off during the growth process. Such jujube heads are called permanent secondary branches.

What are jujube stock and jujube hanging

1. What is Zaogu

The jujube stock is the branch on the jujube tree that is most likely to bear fruit. It is also called the fruiting mother branch. This branch mainly grows on the secondary branches that are more than two years old. After the jujube head and permanent secondary branches of the jujube tree grow terminal buds, two to eight jujube stocks will grow around them. After they are formed, they can continuously produce new jujube stocks for many years.

2. What is Zao Diao?

Jujube branches are fruit-bearing branches on the jujube tree. They are named because they naturally droop after bearing fruit. They mainly grow on strong jujube trunks and are mostly between ten and twenty-five centimeters in length. New jujube branches sprout on the jujube trunks every spring. As the jujube tree grows, it will grow new leaves, and flowers and fruits will bloom in the leaf axils. After autumn, they will fall off along with the jujube leaves.

The above introduces what the jujube head is and what the jujube stock and jujube pendant are. It can give you a more comprehensive understanding of the jujube tree and know what its branches can be divided into. You can make the right choice when pruning the jujube tree in the future, which can also keep the jujube tree vigorous and produce more fruits.
