How can an avocado be stored after it is cut so that it does not spoil easily? Today, I will take you to understand these issues. People who like to eat avocados can focus on understanding them.

How to store cut avocados

1. When a cut avocado is opened, the flesh will be exposed to the air. Some of the active ingredients it contains will react with the oxygen in the air, causing the flesh to turn black. Therefore, when storing the cut avocado, be sure to isolate it from the air. Try to wrap it with plastic wrap and store it in the refrigerator.

2. The cut avocado can also be stored at room temperature, but its shelf life is relatively short, no more than 24 hours at most. And when storing it, be sure to cover it with a bowl or small basin to prevent it from contact with air, otherwise the avocado flesh will quickly change color and deteriorate, and it will no longer be edible. It is best to throw it away directly.

How to store avocado cut in half

1. When preserving an avocado that is cut in half, you must preserve that half, the part with the pit, and it cannot be preserved directly. Apply an appropriate amount of lemon juice directly to the cross-section of the avocado, then wrap the remaining half of the avocado with plastic wrap, and then put it in the refrigerator. This way the cut half of the avocado can be preserved for 2 to 3 days without deteriorating.

2. Cut avocados can also be frozen. Do not close them before freezing. Put them in a sealable plastic bag and drain the air out of the bag. Then put them in the freezer of the refrigerator. When you want to eat them in the future, take them out and thaw them. You can still taste the fresh and tender flavor of the avocado.

3. After cutting the avocado in half, you can also dig out the core, use a small spoon to scoop out the jam inside, put it directly into a clean glass bottle, add appropriate amount of lemon juice and mix well, make it into avocado jam and store it. When you want to eat it later, take it out and spread it on bread, biscuits, or steamed buns.
