Many people in life want to grow Dendrobium themselves, but they don’t know how to grow it and don’t know how to grow it well. Today, the editor will introduce some knowledge related to Dendrobium planting, so that everyone can know more about its planting methods.

How to plant Dendrobium? Planting method of Dendrobium

1. Choose the substrate

When planting Dendrobium, you must choose a suitable substrate for it. This plant likes a substrate with good air permeability and strong water filtration. When cultivating it at home, you can mix blue stone, granular peat and bark together to make a culture mechanism. If you plant Dendrobium on a large area, you only need to prepare bark.

2. Lighting conditions

When planting Dendrobium, you must know that it is a shade-loving plant. In nature, it mostly grows in the shade of trees or in shady places. When planting on a large scale, you should also try to plant it in a cool environment. If not, you should give it necessary shade treatment. When planting it in a potted plant, the nurse should place it in a room with sufficient scattered light. It must not be exposed to direct sunlight during its growth process.

3. Temperature

Ambient temperature is an important condition when people grow Dendrobium officinale. This plant likes a warm and humid environment. If the ambient temperature drops below five degrees, it will stop growing. When the temperature exceeds 35 degrees, it will also enter a dormant state. Therefore, the ambient temperature should be kept between 25 and 30 during the planting period, which can promote the rapid growth of Dendrobium.

4. Moisture and humidity

When people plant Dendrobium, they must provide it with sufficient water. Not only should they water its mechanism, but they should also use a watering can to spray water on its leaves. This can meet its water needs during normal growth. In addition, this plant likes to grow in an environment with high humidity. Normally, the environmental humidity should be controlled above 60%, but when the humidity exceeds 90%, ventilation should be strengthened.

5. Fertilization

When people plant Dendrobium, they also apply fertilizer in time. However, when applying fertilizer, they must abide by the principle of thin fertilizer and frequent application. It is best to choose a nutritionally balanced compound fertilizer, and water it in time after each fertilization. During the growth period of Dendrobium, it must not be given concentrated fertilizer, otherwise it will cause fertilizer damage and affect its normal growth.
