How to wash strawberries cleanly? Tips on how to wash strawberries

Strawberries are a delicate fruit. Their skin is very thin, so you can't scrub them hard when washing them. Moreover, their surface is not smooth, so many dirt is hard to wash off. This is very annoying for people who love to eat strawberries, so they want to know how to wash strawberries cleanly. In fact, there are some tips for washing strawberries. I will write them down later. After reading them, you will know how to wash strawberries cleanly.

How to wash strawberries cleanly

1. Soak and wash the strawberries

After buying strawberries, you can put them in clean water and soak them for about ten minutes to allow all the dirt inside to float out. Then drain the water and replace it with new water and soak for ten minutes. Then add a small amount of table salt and stir gently with your hands to dissolve the salt. After soaking, take them out, wash them with clean water and they are ready to eat.

2. Wash the strawberries with rice water

When washing strawberries, you can use rice water to wash them. The strawberries washed in this way will be very clean because rice water absorbs some active substances, which can allow the dirt on the green side of the strawberries to adsorb on its surface and then float in the water. The specific washing method is to soak the strawberries in rice water for eight to ten minutes, stir gently with your hands, and finally take out and rinse with clean water.

3. Wash strawberries by shaking

When washing strawberries, you can also prepare a covered insulation box, put water in it, put an appropriate amount of strawberries in it, and then cover the box, shake the box back and forth with your hands to allow the strawberries inside to fully contact with the water, and then wash away the dirt on the surface of the strawberries. But here I want to warn you not to shake too hard, otherwise the strawberries will become broken and affect the taste.
