How to fertilize apple trees? Tips on how to fertilize apple trees

Many people find that the apple trees in their homes are not growing well when they are planting apples. What is going on? In fact, this situation has a lot to do with the fertilization of apple trees. Apple trees need to be fertilized many times a year, and the fertilizer applied each time is different. I will introduce to you in detail how to fertilize apple trees.

How to fertilize apple trees

1. Fertilizer before and after flowering of apple trees

Apple trees need to be fertilized once every year in early April and mid-May. This is what people call pre-flowering fertilizer and post-flowering fertilizer. During these two fertilizations, the fertilizers should be mainly quick-acting nitrogen fertilizers and potassium fertilizers. Under normal circumstances, each apple tree should use one kilogram of urea and five hundred grams of potassium sulfate. After fertilizing, remember to water the tree sufficiently.

2. Supply of basal fertilizer for apple trees

In the autumn of each year, it is necessary to apply sufficient basal fertilizer to the apple trees in time. It is best to choose phosphorus fertilizer and farmyard manure as the basal fertilizer. In order to increase the apple tree's absorption of fertilizer, you can pile up the phosphorus fertilizer and farmyard manure together for fermentation before fertilizing, and then apply them directly to the apple trees after they are decomposed.

3. Foliar spraying of apple trees

In addition to fertilizing the roots, foliar fertilization is also very important. Before July each year, 0.5% urea solution should be sprayed, and after July, 0.5% potassium dihydrogen phosphate should be sprayed. In addition, during the growth period of the apple tree, if you want its flower buds to differentiate quickly, you can give it a topdressing in early June. The fertilizer used is also mainly urea, which can make its young fruits expand quickly and is suitable for high yield.
