How to ripen papaya How to ripen green papaya

1. Place papaya to ripen

Papaya is a fruit that matures particularly easily. After buying green papayas, you can put them in a warm and ventilated place. After leaving them naturally for three to five days, the green papaya will change color and its texture will become soft. This means that the papaya is ripe. When you want to eat it, you can just cut it open and eat it.

2. Papaya can be ripened with drugs

When papaya is ripening, it needs a substance called ethylene. If you want the green papaya to ripen quickly, you can use drugs to ripen it. The specific method is to put the purchased green papayas together, dilute the drug ethylene with clean water, and then spray it directly on the surface of the green papaya. After spraying, cover the green papaya with plastic film, and the green papaya will change color and ripen the next day.

3. Papaya can be ripened with apples

After purchasing papaya, you can use apples to ripen it, but the apples used to ripen papaya must be naturally ripe apples. When ripening papaya, you can cut the apple into four pieces, and then put it in a fresh-keeping bag together with the papaya, seal it, and then store it in a warm environment. After about two days, the papaya will become ripe and can be eaten directly.
