How to soak yuba? Tips on how to soak yuba

Yuba is a nutritious bean product. It can be eaten cold or fried. However, most of the yuba sold on the market are dry products. If you want to eat it, you have to soak it in advance. But how should yuba be soaked? How can it be soaked to soften quickly? I will write down the soaking method of yuba in a while, and you will understand it after reading it.

How to soak yuba? How to soak yuba

1. Soak yuba in warm water and salt

When soaking bean curd sheets, you can prepare some warm water, then add an appropriate amount of table salt and mix well. Then put the purchased bean curd sheets into the light salt water and let it soak completely. It will be ready after about three or four hours. The bean curd sheets soaked in this way will be evenly soft and hard and have a good taste.

2. The yuba needs to be pressed when it is soaked

If you want to make the bean curd sheets soften quickly, after putting them into clean water, you need to use a heavy board or plate to press on the bean curd sheets. Because bean curd sheets are very light, they will easily float up after being put into the water, which will make them soften slowly. Pressing them with a board can prevent the bean curd sheets from floating up, allowing them to soften faster.

3. Soak the yuba in a microwave oven

It is faster to soak bean curd sheets in a microwave. When soaking them, you can prepare a microwave container with a lid, put the bean curd sheets in and add clean water, then cover the lid and heat it in the microwave on high heat for three to five minutes. Then take it out. The bean curd sheets are now soaked and can be cooked according to your taste.
