How to cook corn to make it sweet and tender

Many people like to eat boiled corn. It tastes sweet, tender, and has high nutritional value. It has many benefits for the human body. When fresh corn is on the market in large quantities, people like to buy some and cook it at home. However, some people find that the boiled corn they make does not taste so good. Why is this? How can boiled corn be sweet and tender? Here are some tips for boiling corn.

How to cook sweet and tender

1. Don’t cook naked

If you want corn to be sweet and tender, remember not to cook it naked, that is, to peel the corn husk cleanly, because such corn will easily cause nutrient loss after being put into the pot and make the taste dry. When people cook corn, they only need to remove the green leaves on the surface of the corn, and the remaining white coat close to the corn kernels can be cooked together. This can not only retain all the ingredients of the corn, but also make it taste more tender.

2. Add some salt

When people cook fresh milk corn at home, they can also add some salt to the water, which can enhance the sweet taste of corn and make the cooked corn taste sweet. In addition, when people cook corn at home, they should also pay attention to the time of cooking. After turning off the fire, do not take out the cooked corn immediately. Let it soak in water for about half an hour, so that the vitamins in the corn can be better preserved and it will feel tough when eaten.

Sweet corn is too sweet, be careful

Many people in life feel very strange when cooking corn. No matter what they do at home, they can't cook it to taste like the boiled corn sold outside, and it doesn't taste particularly sweet no matter how they cook it. Here I want to warn everyone that you must be careful with boiled corn that is too sweet, and try to avoid buying and using it, because these boiled corns that are too sweet have flavors, sweeteners and some preservatives added during the cooking process. These substances are obviously harmful to the human body. If eaten frequently, they will induce some diseases.
