The nutritional value and edible effects of jujube

Dates are the best tonic, especially for female friends. Eating dates can replenish blood and qi.

introduce

Jujube is the mature fruit of the jujube tree, a deciduous shrub or small tree of the Rhamnaceae family. Jujube trees are cultivated in a wide range in my country, reaching Jinzhou and Beizhen in Liaoning in the north, with the largest output in Shandong, Hebei, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Gansu, Anhui and Zhejiang.

Famous varieties include Jinsi Xiaozao, which has small fruit and high sugar content, and is produced in Leling, Shandong, Hebei County, and Miyun, Beijing. Another variety is Jinzao, also known as "Diaozao", which is mainly produced in Bin County, Shaanxi. The fruit is large, weighing 30 to 40 grams, oblong, thin skin, thick flesh, small core, sweet taste, and matures in late September.

Jujube has been listed as one of the "five fruits" (peach, plum, plum, apricot, jujube) since ancient times, and has a long history. The most prominent feature of jujube is its high vitamin content. A clinical study abroad showed that patients who continuously ate jujube recovered more than three times faster than those who simply took vitamin pills. Therefore, jujube has the reputation of "natural vitamin pills".

Nutritional value of dates

1. Jujube can improve human immunity and inhibit cancer cells. Pharmacological studies have found that red dates can promote the production of white blood cells, lower serum cholesterol, increase serum albumin, and protect the liver. Red dates also contain substances that inhibit cancer cells and can even transform cancer cells into normal cells.

2. People who often eat fresh dates rarely suffer from gallstones. This is because the rich vitamin C in fresh dates converts excess cholesterol in the body into bile acid. With less cholesterol, the probability of gallstone formation is also reduced;

3. Jujube is rich in calcium and iron, which play an important role in preventing and treating osteoporosis and anemia. Middle-aged and elderly people often suffer from osteoporosis during menopause, and adolescents and women who are at the peak of growth and development are prone to anemia. Jujube has an ideal therapeutic effect on them, and its effect is usually incomparable to drugs;

4. It also has a good tonic effect on people who are weak after illness;

5. The rutin contained in dates is a substance that softens blood vessels and thus lowers blood pressure, and has preventive and therapeutic effects on hypertension;

6. Dates can also resist allergies, remove fishy and strange smells, calm the mind, improve intelligence and brain health, and enhance appetite.

The edible effects of jujube

Jujube is sweet, mild and warm in nature, and enters the spleen and stomach meridians;

It has the effects of tonifying the middle and replenishing qi, tonifying the spleen and stomach, nourishing yin and blood, nourishing the heart and calming the mind, and alleviating the effects of medicine;

It is used to treat anorexia and diarrhea caused by spleen deficiency, and gynecological irritability caused by yin and blood deficiency. It also has a good tonic effect on people who are weak after illness. This product is sweet and warm, invigorates qi, moistens the blood, and has a sweet taste that can alleviate the properties of the medicine. It is used for qi and blood deficiency and to alleviate the toxicity of drugs.

1. Nourishing blood and calming the mind: Suitable for those with sallow complexion due to blood deficiency, heart failure to be nourished, and restlessness due to blood deficiency;

2. Tonify the middle and replenish qi: used to treat various symptoms caused by insufficient middle qi and weak spleen and stomach;
