How to make strawberry pie

1. Roll out the puff pastry into a 0.5 cm thick sheet, then cut into six equal-sized pieces, poke a few small holes with a fork, line a baking tray with baking paper, then put the puff pastry on it, beat the eggs and brush some egg liquid on the surface of the puff pastry, preheat the oven to 180 degrees, bake in the middle layer of the oven at 180 degrees for 10-15 minutes until the surface is colored.

2. Make the custard sauce: pour 3 egg yolks into a pot, then add 50 grams of sugar and beat for 5 minutes until it is completely dissolved and the egg yolk liquid turns white; then pour in corn starch and beat until it is evenly mixed. If there is vanilla extract, add 2 drops, then pour in milk, stir evenly and heat over low heat, stirring while heating. It will become viscous after about 3 minutes.

3. Remove the roots of the strawberries, rinse them and soak them in salt water for 10 minutes. Take them out, dry them and cut them in half for later use.

4. Take a piece of baked puff pastry, press it lightly, then spread custard sauce on it, put a layer of cut strawberries on the custard sauce, spread a layer of strawberry jam on the strawberries, then take another piece of baked puff pastry and divide it into two parts from the middle, put the bottom part on the strawberries, press it lightly, then spread custard sauce, strawberries, and strawberry jam in the order just now, and finally put the other half of the pie crust on it.

1. When choosing strawberries, choose those of uniform size, avoid large strawberries that are too well developed, and be sure to soak them in salt water before eating.

2. Freshly made hot strawberry pie is especially crispy. If you can’t finish it in one go, put it in a fresh-keeping box and put it in the refrigerator. You can try the taste after refrigeration next time.
