How to water Clivia? Things to note when repotting Clivia

In daily life, many people like to grow Clivia. It not only has high ornamental value, but also can purify indoor air and beautify the indoor environment. However, in the process of growing Clivia, people will always encounter various problems. In order to make it easy for everyone to grow Clivia, today I will specifically introduce some knowledge related to Clivia cultivation, so that everyone can understand how to water it, and also let everyone understand how to change the pot of Clivia.

How to water Clivia

1. When watering Clivia, you must know what kind of water it likes. This plant likes softer water during its growth process, such as rain or snow water in nature, and polluted river water. Secondly, you can use groundwater, that is, well water. It is best not to use tap water directly to water Clivia, because its hard water quality is not conducive to the growth of Clivia.

2. When watering Clivia, you must abide by the principle of not watering unless the soil is dry, and watering thoroughly when you do. Especially during its growing season, you must provide it with sufficient water, but you must not allow water to accumulate in the pot when watering, otherwise its roots will rot. After it enters a dormant period or stops growing, you should also reduce the number of watering times. In the hot summer weather, in addition to watering it in time, you must also spray water on its leaves. Only in this way can the Clivia grow normally.

Things to note when repotting Clivia

1. Clivia is a green ornamental plant with a well-developed root system. During its cultivation process, it must be repotted frequently, otherwise its roots will not grow normally, causing the roots to rot or affecting the growth of the Clivia. When repotting Clivia, be sure to choose the right time. You can repot it in early spring every year so that it can adapt to the new soil and grow as soon as possible after the weather warms up.

2. The Clivia should be repotted once a year. Stop watering 15 days before repotting. When repotting, use Ying Guiqing Qiao Huajiao to swing the arms to allow the roots inside to naturally separate from the pot. Then take it out completely and tap it gently to knock off all the soil on it. During the operation, ensure that its roots are intact to avoid root damage. After the process is completed, prepare new potting soil and plant it directly in the pot.
