The difference between pepperwood and fragrant wood

Both pepperwood and chrysanthemum are small green plants that look very similar, and laymen can't tell them apart at all. Although they look almost the same, there is a big difference between the two. Pepperwood is just a green plant for viewing, while chrysanthemum can repel mosquitoes and whiten the skin, which is extremely useful. So, what is the difference between pepperwood and chrysanthemum?

The difference between pepperwood and fragrant wood

1. Difference in appearance

Although pepperwood and citronella look very similar, even if they are "twins", there are differences. The difference between pepperwood and citronella lies in the arrangement of their leaves. The leaves of pepperwood are alternate, with an odd number of leaves at the top, while the leaves of citronella are an even number. Once you master this method, it will be easy to distinguish between the two.

2. Difference in smell

In addition to looking at the number of leaves at the top, we can also distinguish pepper wood from citrus wood by smelling. Pepper wood has no smell directly, but after crushing it, you can smell a strong pepper smell, and when we get close to citrus wood, we can smell a light fragrance, which is a bit similar to the smell of citrus peel. By smelling with our nose, we can directly distinguish them.

3. Differences in Fruits

In addition to the smell and leaves, we can also distinguish pepper wood and fragrant wood from the fruit. The fruit of pepper wood is green-brown, while the fruit of fragrant wood is red. I believe everyone can tell the difference.

4. Differences in effects

Pepperwood is a very vigorous potted plant that can be used for viewing and can also relieve office workers' fatigue. Fragrant wood has very high medicinal value, can stop diarrhea, treat dermatitis, beautify the skin, and its fragrance can also repel mosquitoes.
