How to grow Dendrobium? Cultivation methods and precautions for Dendrobium

We all know that there are many varieties of orchids, and Dendrobium is one of them, and it has a very high ornamental value. The flower shape of Dendrobium is very beautiful, and the posture is also very graceful. Many people like to plant this flower. However, you must pay attention to the method of raising Dendrobium, otherwise, it is easy to kill Dendrobium. Next, let's take a look at the method of raising Dendrobium.

How to grow Dendrobium

Dendrobium orchids like a humid environment. We can plant them close to stones. First, wrap the roots of the Dendrobium orchid seedlings with cow dung mud, and then stuff them into the cracks of the stones. Be sure to ensure the firmness of the roots. If there are no stones nearby, you can also plant Dendrobium orchids close to maple poplar trees, camphor trees, etc.

Dendrobium cultivation methods and precautions

1. Pay attention to shading

Dendrobium generally grows on tree trunks or rocks in tropical rain forests. It is suitable for growing in semi-shaded environments and does not like strong light. Therefore, when growing Dendrobium, pay attention to shading in spring and summer. It is best to block about 60% of the light. When there is more dynamic sunlight, it is also appropriate to block about 20% of the light.

2. Pay attention to heat preservation

Dendrobium orchids like to grow in a moderately high environment, and also like a high temperature environment. When cultivating Dendrobium orchids, you should pay attention to the temperature of their growth. In winter, it is best to control the growth temperature of Dendrobium orchids at around 15 degrees. Too low a temperature will have a very serious impact on the growth and opening of Dendrobium orchids.

3. Water frequently

Dendrobium likes a humid environment, so we must ensure that there is sufficient water supply, and at the same time, the soil should not be too humid. If it is too humid, it will cause the roots of Dendrobium to rot or die. Therefore, in the hot summer and dry autumn, we should often spray water around the plant to increase the humidity. However, be careful to avoid too much water in the pot.
