The difference between fragrant wood and pepper wood

Both the fragrant wood and the pepperwood are common green foliage plants in nature, and they both emit attractive aromas and can purify the air and remove odors. However, although the fragrant wood and the pepperwood are similar, they are not the same. If you observe carefully, you will find that there are many differences between them.

1. Different smell

The biggest difference between fragrant wood and pepperwood is the smell. Fragrant wood will emit a fresh and elegant fragrance during the cultivation process, and this fragrance is relatively long-lasting. People will feel particularly refreshed and comfortable after smelling this fragrance. Although pepperwood will also release a certain fragrance during the growth process, the fragrance it releases is relatively pungent, and some people will feel particularly uncomfortable after smelling it.

2. Different flowers

Both the fragrant wood and the pepperwood will bloom during the cultivation process, but the shapes of the flowers of the two plants are different. The flowers of the fragrant wood plant are relatively long and mostly dark purple, with a faint red on the edges, while the flowers of the pepperwood plant are relatively short, only half the length of the fragrant wood flowers. The color of the flowers of this plant is lighter, mostly light yellow.

3. Difference of blades

There are some differences between the leaves of the two plants, the osmanthus and the pepperwood. The osmanthus has more leaves on its branches, and most of them are symmetrical. Its leaves have clear lines and feel tender when touched by hand, while the leaves on the pepperwood branches are not symmetrical, and they do not feel as smooth as the osmanthus leaves. The leaves of the osmanthus are larger than those of the pepperwood. When comparing the leaves of the two plants together, you will find that the leaves of the osmanthus are more than one circle larger than those of the pepperwood.

4. Fruit Difference

Both the fragrant wood and the pepperwood will bloom and bear fruit. The fruits of these two plants are also different after the flowers fade. The fruits of the fragrant wood are relatively round in shape and dark green when ripe. The number of fruits it produces is relatively small, while the fruits of the pepperwood are mostly flat and dark red when ripe. The number of its fruits is much higher than that of the fragrant wood.
