Campanula is a beautiful ornamental plant named after its flower shape similar to wind chimes. This plant is also called bellflower, a biennial herb with a long flowering period, bright colors and high ornamental value. Many people usually want to grow campanula by themselves, but they don’t know how to do it? Today I will share its planting method with you.

How to grow bellflower

1. When growing bellflowers, you need to choose loose, fertile, and easily drained fertile soil, and the pH of the soil should be between 5.5 and 6.0. After planting, you must ensure sufficient water and maintain a high humidity environment. Only in this way can the bellflower grow quickly.

2. Campanula likes a warm environment. It grows fastest when the outside temperature is between 18 and 25 degrees. If it is in the southern region and there is no frost in winter, you can keep the campanula outdoors. If the weather is cold in the north in winter, you need to move it to a warm environment indoors.

3. Campanula is an ornamental plant that likes plenty of sunlight. During the cultivation period, it must be placed in a sunny environment. If you want the campanula to bloom early, you can adjust the light time during the cultivation period. During the cultivation period, the campanula should maintain a balance between nitrogen fertilizer and potassium fertilizer, and pay attention to the addition of trace elements magnesium and calcium fertilizer. Only balanced nutrition can make the campanula grow healthily.

How to plant bellflower

Campanula can be planted by sowing. In late winter and early spring every year, you can sow it in a warm plastic shed. Before sowing, you should loosen the soil and apply fertilizer, water it enough, and then scatter the campanula seeds in the flower field. It will germinate after 3 to 5 days. After 10 to 15 days, it will grow into 2 to 3 seedlings. At this time, you can transplant the campanula seedlings into flower pots or other environments where you want to plant them.
