How to grow tomatoes? Tomato cultivation tips

It is very important to cultivate tomatoes. Here are some tips on how to better cultivate tomatoes:

Five stages of tomato cultivation:

First, when choosing varieties, you should choose varieties that are resistant to high temperatures, diseases and insects, have strong growth potential, and have vigorous growth potential, such as Maofen 802.

Second, for seedling raising, choose a plot with thick soil layer and good drainage as a bed, sow seeds soaked in disinfectant, cover with 1 cm of soil after sowing, and keep the bed moist. When the temperature is too high, shade with newspaper at noon, and pull out the yellowing pseudo-seedlings after germination. When the seedlings grow to two leaves and one heart, they are transplanted. The seedlings are usually transplanted after 4 pm at a density of 10 cm × 10 cm, and irrigate with small amounts of water and shade while planting.

The third is the planting. For wheat stubble fields used for planting tomatoes, the land should be prepared and deep-turned immediately after wheat is harvested. 3,500 to 4,000 kg of farmyard manure should be applied per mu. Formulated fertilizers should be applied to make high ridges 20 cm high and 120 to 130 cm wide. The planting date is July 5 to 15. Transplant with soil clumps on cloudy or sunny afternoons. 3,500 to 4,000 plants per mu should be planted with single-pole pruning. The nursery field should be irrigated 1 to 2 days before planting. After planting, wheat straw can be used to cover the field if conditions permit to reduce ground evaporation and control weed growth.

Fourth, keep the flowers and fruits. Leave balanced fruits of appropriate size in each bunch to ensure the fruit setting rate. Remove deformed and damaged flowers. Water once after planting and acclimatization, and then control the water until the first bunch of fruits is set.

Fifth, pest control: The most serious pest is cotton bollworm, which is most serious from August to September. Prevention should start before and after the first ear of fruit sets. Generally, spray once every 7 days, and spray 3 to 4 times in a row. The main solution is 1000 to 1500 times of MetSol or 1000 to 1500 times of Gongfu. The cultivation of wheat stubble tomatoes is in the hot and rainy season, and diseases such as virus diseases, blight and leaf mold are becoming more serious, so prevention and control must be timely.
