Cactus Flower Bone Soup

1. Cactus flowers can be used to make soup with bones. You need to prepare 450 grams of pork bones, 5 to 6 cactus flowers, a carrot, and two to three candied dates. Add an appropriate amount of water.

2. Wash the prepared pork bones with clean water, crack them with a hammer, then heat cold water in a pot, blanch for three minutes after boiling, take them out and drain the water. Wash the cactus flowers with clean water, peel the carrots, cut them into pieces, and put them into the soup pot together with the processed pork bones and cactus flowers.

3. Add appropriate amount of water and cover the pot. Turn on the heat and cook until it boils, then cook on medium-low heat for about an hour. Add the prepared candied dates and a small amount of table salt, and cook for about ten minutes. Turn off the heat and serve directly.

Cactus Flower Tremella Soup

1. Cactus flower is an ingredient that can nourish yin and moisten the lungs. It is usually put together with white fungus to make soup, which tastes particularly good and has a more outstanding nourishing yin effect. When making it, you need to prepare 6 to 7 fresh cactus flowers, a large white fungus, about ten pieces of rock sugar, wolfberry, longan, red dates and other ingredients, and prepare some of each in appropriate amounts.

2. Soak the white fungus in warm water in advance, wash it and tear it into small pieces. Wash the cactus flowers with clean water as well. Rinse all other ingredients with clean water, put them into the soup pot together with the white fungus and cactus flowers, add enough water, bring to a boil, then lower the heat and cook for half an hour.

3. Put the prepared rock sugar into the pot and mix well, then continue to cook for about 15 minutes. The cactus flower and tremella soup in the pot will be ready. After turning off the heat, take it out and let it cool before eating.
