How to grow daffodils? Techniques for growing daffodils

Narcissus is a common plant with a beautiful body, rich fragrance and high ornamental value. It is known as the Lingbo Fairy in life and is also called Jinyintai or Tiancong in nature. It is one of the most popular plants for cultivation in life. However, some people do not understand the living habits of daffodils, and do not know how to grow them well. Today I will specifically introduce some knowledge related to daffodil cultivation, and you can take a closer look.

1. Growth habits

When people grow daffodils, they must have a comprehensive understanding of their growth habits. They are an ornamental plant that likes plenty of sunlight and is shade-tolerant, but their internal strength is relatively poor, and they will shed their leaves and go dormant in July and August each year. They bloom in early spring each year, like water and fertilizer, and prefer fertile and loose sandy soil.

2. Moderate light

Daffodil is a plant that likes plenty of sunlight. When cultivating it, you must ensure that it receives sufficient sunlight. It should be placed in the sun for no less than six hours a day. If there is insufficient light, the leaves of the daffodil will fold, and it will not bloom or will bloom very few flowers.

3. Temperature regulation

When growing daffodils, you should also pay attention to the ambient temperature conditions. This plant likes a cool environment in the early stages of growth and a relatively warm environment in the later stages of growth. It grows fastest when the ambient temperature is between 18 and 20 degrees, but the temperature that promotes flower bud differentiation should be between 17 and 20 degrees. If the temperature exceeds 20 degrees, its flower bud differentiation rate will slow down significantly.

4. Adequate watering

Narcissus is a plant that likes plenty of water. It can be planted in soil or water. When planting daffodils in soil, they will need a lot of water after entering the peak growth season. At this time, they should be watered once a day. After the flowering period, the demand for water is relatively reduced. At this time, the watering interval can be changed to one to five days. And when watering, use high-quality water with mild water quality. Never use dirty water or hard water.
