What to do if Clivia doesn't bloom? How to solve the problem of Clivia not blooming?

Although Clivia is a foliage plant, its flowers are also beautiful and pleasing to the eye after blooming, which will double its value. However, many people usually raise Clivia for several years, but it still does not bloom. What is going on? What should we do at this time?

1. Adjust the lighting

When growing Clivia, if there is too much light, it will not bloom, because Clivia is a plant that likes semi-shady environment. It must not be placed in direct sunlight in summer, otherwise its leaves will be burned and it will also affect the growth of the plant, which will directly cause it not to bloom.

2. Adjust the temperature

Clivia can only bloom as scheduled if it grows at the most suitable temperature. When the environment is between 15 and 25 degrees, it grows most vigorously and has the highest chance of blooming. However, when the temperature is too high and ventilation is poor, the Clivia will not bloom.

3. Loosen the soil in time

Timely loosening of the soil is also a good way to promote the flowering of Clivia. After the Clivia is cultivated for too long, the soil in the flowerpot will become hardened, and the moisture and nutrients in the soil will be lost. The Clivia cannot absorb the necessary oxygen during its growth period, which will slow down its growth and affect its flowering. Usually, loosening the soil once every one to two months can promote the flowering of Clivia.

4. Reasonable and appropriate fertilizer

Reasonable fertilization is also one of the important means to promote the flowering of Clivia. If you want Clivia to bloom earlier, you must control the supply of nitrogen fertilizer and moderately increase the supply of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers. Because after excessive application of nitrogen fertilizer, Clivia will only grow leaves but not flowers. After it has more than ten leaves, it is best to stop applying nitrogen fertilizer and increase the amount of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers, so that it can bloom as soon as possible.
