Cultivation methods and precautions of five-petal orchids

The five-petal orchid is an important member of the orchid family. It is named because its flower has five petals after blooming. This plant is not only a representative of righteousness in life, but also a symbol of beautiful things. But how should this beautiful five-petal orchid be raised? What are its cultivation methods?

1. Soil

When cultivating five-petal orchids, the choice of soil is very important. This plant has relatively high requirements for soil. It likes fertile soil with high humus content. It is best to choose leaf mold or forest humus to cultivate five-petal orchids. You can also use eight parts of leaf mold and two parts of river sand to prepare your own potting soil.

2. Potting method

When growing five-petal orchids, the method of potting is also very important. Before potting, you should first put wall and slag at the bottom of the pot, and then put in a layer of culture soil, and then place the five-petal orchid seedling in the center of the pot, straighten the roots, let its root system stretch naturally, then fill with soil, and finally water it enough to allow the soil and roots to combine closely.

3. Lighting conditions

The five-petal orchid also has certain requirements for light when it is cultivated. This plant prefers shade to yang, especially in summer. Before 7 o'clock, the five-petal orchid can be exposed to direct sunlight, and after 7 o'clock, it is necessary to shade it. Around the Qingming Festival, the five-petal orchid can also be exposed to more sunlight, which can promote the growth of its root system and the growth of new leaf buds.

4. Breeding temperature

Temperature is also an important condition when growing five-petal orchids. This plant grows best when the outside temperature is between 18 and 30 degrees. It will stop growing when the temperature is below five degrees. When the temperature drops below zero, it will die due to low temperature. In addition, 500 orchids are also afraid of high temperatures during cultivation, especially in summer. When the temperature is above 35 degrees in hot weather, it is necessary to ventilate and lower the temperature in time, otherwise the leaves of the five-petal orchid will turn yellow or fall off.
