Tutorial on the cultivation methods and techniques of potted seven-color lotus

Lotus is an aquatic plant. It usually grows in the mud of ponds. Many people have never thought that it can be made into potted plants and cultivated at home. But recently, many potted seven-color lotus flowers have appeared in the flower market for sale. So how should this plant be cultivated? Is it a member of the lotus family? Potted seven-color lotus is an important member of the lotus family. It has bright colors, long-lasting fragrance, and strong vitality. It is suitable for potted plants. The following is my detailed introduction to its cultivation method. If you like lotus, you can focus on learning it.

1. Cultivation environment

The potted seven-color flower is a light-loving plant. It needs to receive at least 7 to 8 hours of sufficient light every day. Only in this way can it grow more flower buds and bloom continuously. When growing seven-color flowers, you cannot place them in the shade, and you cannot place them indoors like indoor foliage plants. This will prevent them from growing healthily due to insufficient light.

2. Nutrient matrix

The culture medium of the potted seven-color lotus is also very important. You must choose pond mud or rice field mud with a high humus content. If these resources are not available, you can mix yellow mud and sand together in a ratio of 7:3 before use. When planting potted seven-color lotus, you should also apply enough base fertilizer. The fertilizer can be decomposed cake fertilizer or other organic fertilizer.

3. Cultivation temperature

The potted seven-color lotus has relatively high temperature requirements during its growth period. It will begin to sprout when the ambient temperature reaches 8 to 10 degrees. When the temperature reaches 14 degrees, the lotus root will begin to grow. However, only when the outside temperature reaches 22 to 35 degrees can the potted seven-color lotus grow vigorously and grow a large number of flower buds. At this time, it is necessary to apply an appropriate amount of phosphorus fertilizer in time to promote its flowers to bloom and prolong its flowering period.
