The cultivation method and maintenance precautions of Jade Dew

The cultivation method and maintenance precautions of Jade Dew

Jade is a branch of the lily family. It can be divided into many different varieties. Grass jade, large jade and hairy jade are the most common varieties of jade. It is an ornamental plant that people like to cultivate the most. Jade is native to South Africa. Its leaves are crystal clear, like jade carvings, especially beautiful, fresh and elegant. However, if you want to grow jade well, you must understand its cultivation method. The following is my detailed introduction to the cultivation method and maintenance precautions of jade. You can take a closer look.

The cultivation method and maintenance precautions of Jade Dew

1. Sunlight conditions for growing jade plants

When growing jade dew, you need to give it plenty of sunlight. You can't keep it in a cool environment for a long time, otherwise the plant will become loose and not compact, and the leaves will be thin and long, resulting in poor growth. However, the light conditions cannot be too strong. If the light is too strong, its leaves will turn light brown, and sometimes it will burn the leaves, reducing its ornamental value.

2. Fertilizer and water conditions for cultivating jade dew

Watering is very important. When the Jade Dew is in the growing season, it should be given sufficient water, but water should not be allowed to accumulate in the flowerpot, let alone rain, otherwise the roots of the Jade Dew will rot. The Jade Dew also has a relatively large demand for fertilizer during its growth period, and it should be fertilized every 20 days. Fertilizers should be thin liquid fertilizers or low-carbon, high-phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizers.

3. Soil quality for cultivating jade plants

The preparation of the potting soil for jade plant cultivation is also very important. It is best to choose loose, fertile soil with good drainage and air permeability as the potting soil. If you prepare the potting soil yourself, it is best to choose two parts of leaf mold and three parts of coarse sand, and then add appropriate bone meal and lime. After mixing, it can be used to cultivate jade plants. In addition, during the cultivation period of jade plants, its roots will secrete a large amount of acidic substances, causing soil acidification and making its roots aging and hollow. In order to reduce this symptom that affects the growth of jade plants, the pot should be changed once every spring.
