How to plant Jade Dragon Grass

1. Choose the right soil

Jade dragon grass does not require a high growth environment, but it grows fastest when planted in suitable soil. This plant prefers sandy soil with good drainage, and it is best to keep the soil moist during its growth, but do not allow water to accumulate in the soil, so that the jade dragon grass can grow quickly and divide new leaves.

2. Water in time

Jade Dragon Grass is relatively drought-resistant but it can only grow rapidly under conditions of sufficient water, especially in summer. When the weather gets hot, in addition to watering its flowerpot in time, you also need to spray water on its leaves. Only in this way can its leaves remain green and shiny. If you fail to water or spray water in time, its leaves will dry up, and in severe cases, it may even die.

3. Fertilizer supply

Jade Dragon Grass is also relatively resistant to barrenness, but it will grow particularly fast if there is sufficient fertilizer. If you plant Jade Dragon Grass on a large scale, you can apply sufficient base fertilizer to it. If you plant Jade Dragon Grass in pots, you should fertilize it twice around June each year. You can choose dilute liquid fertilizer or compound fertilizer. No fertilizer is needed in other seasons.
