How to grow Phalaenopsis

1. Soil

The medium for growing Phalaenopsis is mainly moss and aquatic plants. The soil for growing Phalaenopsis needs to be a little softer.

2. Temperature

The temperature suitable for Phalaenopsis growth is between 15℃ and 30℃. If it is lower than 15℃ or higher than 30℃, it will not grow and the leaves will turn yellow.

3. Stay hydrated

Phalaenopsis must be watered more when new roots are growing. After flowering, it is dormant and less watering is required. In spring and autumn, it needs to be watered once every day around 5 pm. In summer, because Phalaenopsis grows vigorously, it needs to be watered once every day at 9 am and 5 pm. In winter, the light is weak and the temperature is low, so it is enough to water it once every two weeks. It is best to water it before 10 am.

4. Proper lighting

Although Phalaenopsis likes shade, it also needs proper light for photosynthesis. Especially when blooming, Phalaenopsis needs sufficient light, but it should avoid direct sunlight.

5. Ventilation

Domestic Phalaenopsis orchids need to be ventilated frequently and protected from pests.

1. Water appropriately

Phalaenopsis should be watered in moderation and not too frequently, as this will damage the roots of the Phalaenopsis.

2. Maintain temperature

In winter, you need to keep the Phalaenopsis warm. Otherwise, the temperature will be too low and the plant will not grow.

3. Apply fertilizer appropriately

During the growing season, it is generally sufficient to apply fertilizer once every 7-10 days.

4. Choose a flower pot

When choosing a flowerpot, be sure to choose a suitable one. Do not use a small pot for a large plant or a large pot for a small plant.
