Cultivation methods and techniques of yew

Yew is a beautiful ornamental flower plant. It is suitable for people to grow at home and can play an important role in purifying the environment. However, many people always encounter such situations when growing yew, and finally fail. How can we grow yew well? Next, I will give a comprehensive introduction to the cultivation methods of yew. If you like yew, come and learn it.

How to cultivate yew

1. Taxus chinensis's requirements for light

The yew tree has certain requirements for lighting conditions. It likes to grow in a cool environment and cannot be exposed to direct sunlight. When the sunlight is strong, necessary shading treatment must be carried out. However, the yew tree cannot be deprived of sunlight for a long time, as that will cause its leaves to turn yellow and affect its appearance.

2. Yew's water requirements

When growing yew, there are certain requirements for water. Under normal circumstances, the leaves of yew are upright and shiny. When its leaves droop, it means that it is seriously lacking in water. The water content of yew pot soil should be about 40% at ordinary times. For yew placed indoors, water it once every 20 days, and for yew placed outdoors, water it once every 15 days.

3. Taxus chinensis's requirements for soil

When growing yew, it also has certain requirements for soil quality. You should choose loose soil with high humus content as potting soil. Peat soil and perlite mixed together are the best choices for yew potting soil. In addition, yew needs to be top-dressed in time during its growth period, once every two or three months. Cake fertilizer and farmyard manure are ideal choices for topdressing.
