Braised Winter Squash

1. Braised winter melon is also very delicious. When making it, you need to prepare 500 grams of winter melon, a pound of white sugar, light soy sauce, some dark soy sauce and oyster sauce, and finally prepare an appropriate amount of table salt and chicken essence.

2. Remove the rind and pulp of the prepared winter melon, make cuts on its surface, and then cut it into cubes. Heat the oil in a pan, and when the oil temperature rises, fry the winter melon cubes until they are slightly golden on all sides, then take them out.

3. Add oil to the pot again, heat it, add sugar, stir-fry to bring out the sugar color, then mix. Put the fried winter melon pieces in the pot and stir-fry evenly, then add salt, light soy sauce and dark soy sauce to color the winter melon. After the surface of the winter melon turns dark red, add a small bowl of water and cover the pot.

4. After the winter melon in the pot is cooked, add oyster sauce and chicken essence. Cook over high heat until the sauce is reduced. After the sauce is reduced, remove from the pot and serve directly on a plate. Then sprinkle with appropriate amount of chopped green onions for flavoring and decoration.
