Expired tea leaves

Expired tea leaves

Introduction

As spring tea is on the market, people are buying fresh spring tea and throwing away old and expired tea. This is a waste. Many people don’t know how to use expired tea. Today, I will teach you how to use expired tea.

The efficacy and effects of expired tea

1. Put expired tea leaves in a small open container and place it in the refrigerator to absorb various odors. If your hands have odor, you can also rub the expired tea leaves on your hands, which also has the effect of removing odors.

2. If you have a lot of expired tea leaves piled up, you can consider using tea leaves as pillow fillings. People really miss the fragrance of tea pillows. If you don’t have enough tea leaves, you can also make small sachets and hang them anywhere to make them fragrant. However, whether it is a pillow or a small sachet, don’t soak it in water, otherwise it will become a big tea bag!

3. Use expired tea water to remove scale from thermos bottles. If brightly colored clothes fade, use expired tea juice to rinse them to restore their original color. Expired tea can be used as a detergent. Soak old or expired tea in water and soak clothes contaminated by egg white and egg yolk for 5 minutes, and the clothes will be clean.

4. Have you noticed that if the used tea can is not covered properly, the tea leaves that were originally shrunk into a ball will expand into a piece after a period of time. This is proof that the dried tea leaves have strong water absorption. You can pour some expired tea leaves into a container and put it in a refrigerator or drawer or other places that are afraid of moisture. After a period of time, it will slowly expand due to moisture absorption. When it expands to a certain extent, you can replace it with new ones. The effect is very good, and it can also emit a light tea fragrance and have a deodorizing effect.

5. Washing your hair with very strong expired black tea can turn your hair brown or black. This is because the black tea partially retains its nourishing effect on hair. If you wash your hair with very strong clove tea, your hair will turn red, and it is non-toxic. Even if you don't want to dye your hair, you can rinse it with waste tea water after washing it to remove dirt and grease, leaving your hair black, soft and shiny.

6. Newly purchased wooden furniture, such as tables, chairs, and cabinets, have a pungent smell of paint. Wash them thoroughly with tea water, and the paint smell will naturally fade away. It will disappear after washing a few more times. It is much better than using non-soap detergents.

7. When I was a kid, I often saw tea dregs all over the flower pots at home. It was not just my family, but other people's families as well. It turned out that everyone knew that used tea leaves could be used as fertilizer, which could promote plant growth and make the leaves greener and more shiny. Next time, you can soak expired tea leaves in water and pour them into the flower pots. It is a simple and cost-effective fertilizer.

8. Tea contains a lot of tannic acid, which has a strong bactericidal effect, especially effective against the filamentous fungi that cause athlete's foot. Therefore, people with athlete's foot can boil tea into a concentrated juice every night to wash their feet, and they will be cured without medicine over time. However, boiling tea to wash feet requires persistence, and there will be no significant effect in a short period of time. It is best to use green tea, as fermented black tea has much less tannic acid.

9. Ha! I’m not saying that you should use tea leaves as an ashtray! What I mean is that you can put a layer of expired tea leaves in the ashtray, add a little water, flick the ashes into it, or put out the cigarette in it. This will prevent the smoke and odor from flying everywhere. Drug addicts may consider this more.
