1. What is hypoglycemia?

Normal blood sugar levels range from 3.9 to 6.1 mmol/L , while hypoglycemia refers to people whose blood sugar levels are lower than 3.9. People with hypoglycemia mainly experience weakness, night sweats, hunger, paleness, rapid heartbeat, nausea and vomiting. In severe cases, symptoms such as delirium may occur, so it is more harmful to the body.

What are the causes of hypoglycemia?

The first reason for hypoglycemia is medication, because diabetics need to take medication to lower blood sugar, which may lead to hypoglycemia. Middle-aged women are the second type of hypoglycemia caused by neurological dysfunction. The second is excessive insulin, which can cause low blood sugar. Alcoholic, exercise-induced, and starvation-induced hypoglycemia are some of the more common causes of hypoglycemia. Alcohol causes lactic acid changes, damages glycogen, and causes hypoglycemia. Or it may be that strenuous exercise consumes too much energy, causing hypoglycemia. Long-term lack of glycogen intake may also cause hypoglycemia.

Hypoglycemia can easily lead to physical imbalance, diabetes, heart disease and other diseases. Severe hypoglycemia can also cause myocardial infarction, which is very serious.
