When making glutinous rice and taro cakes at home, you need to prepare 500 grams of glutinous rice flour, 600 grams of taro, and appropriate amounts of water, white sugar, bean paste, and cooking oil.

Specific steps for making glutinous rice taro cakes

1. Remove the skin of the prepared taro, wash it with clean water, and then put it into a pressure cooker and steam it. After steaming, wait for the taro to cool down slightly, then take it out and press it into a paste.

2. Put the prepared glutinous rice flour into the pressed taro paste, then add appropriate amount of sugar and water, then mix them evenly, and knead them into a uniform dough with your hands. After kneading, let it rest for about fifteen minutes.

3. Divide the dough into small pieces after it has risen, flatten them with your hands, put the prepared red bean paste filling in the middle, slowly wrap it up, and finally press it into the shape of small pancakes.

4. Heat the pan on the fire, add the cooking oil, spread it flat, and then fry the glutinous rice and taro cakes until both sides are golden brown. Then take them out. At this time, the crispy and soft glutinous rice and taro cakes are ready to eat.
