Ingredients for making red bean paste

When making red bean paste at home, you need to prepare 500 grams of red beans, 200 grams of brown sugar, an appropriate amount of water, and a pressure cooker.

Specific steps for making red bean paste

1. Wash the prepared red beans in clean water, then soak them in clean water for five to six hours. Take them out and put them in a pressure cooker.

2. Add some clean water into the pressure cooker, making sure the water covers the red beans by one finger. Then cover the pot and cook over the fire. After the water boils, cook for about half an hour and then turn off the fire.

3. Let the cooked red beans cool down automatically, then take a colander and filter the cooked red beans with it. Rub the red beans vigorously when filtering, so that the bean paste can flow into the basin below as much as possible, leaving the bean skin. What you get in the basin is a mixture of red bean paste and water.

4. Take a clean gauze and pour the red bean paste and water on the gauze, squeeze out the water to get the red bean paste, then take an oil-free pot, put the red bean paste and brown sugar into the pot and stir-fry. After stir-frying evenly, the homemade red bean paste is ready. After cooling down, put it in a fresh-keeping box and store it in the refrigerator. You can take it out whenever you want to eat it.
