1. Use a knife to remove the leaves and roots of the prepared fresh lettuce, and then use a paring knife to remove all the skin and set aside.

2. Cut the peeled lettuce into slices, then put it in a bowl and add an appropriate amount of salt. Remember that the amount of salt must not be too much. Add five grams of salt to one kilogram of lettuce.

3. Add salt and mix well. Marinate overnight. When the sun comes out the next day, spread the marinated lettuce slices on a drying tool to dry in the sun. Put them away at night and continue drying them the next day. They will be ready in four or five days.

4. Put the dried lettuce after drying in a sealable fresh-keeping bag and freeze it in the refrigerator. It can be stored for a long time without deteriorating. When you want to eat it, take it out and soak it in warm water. After it is softened, you can eat it according to your taste.
