When making nut spinach in the Northeast, people usually prepare some fresh spinach and some peanuts, and sometimes some walnuts and cashews. In addition, they also need a few peppers and two heads of garlic, a small amount of soy sauce and vinegar, and an appropriate amount of MSG, salt and sesame oil.

Specific steps for making nut spinach in Northeast China

1. Put oil in a wok, chop the chili into small pieces, fry it in the oil until it becomes chili oil, then take it out and set aside.

2. Remove the roots of the prepared spinach, wash it, then put clean water in a pot and bring it to a boil. Add a small amount of table salt. Blanch the spinach in the pot for two minutes, then take it out and put it in cold water to cool it down quickly. After cooling down, take it out, squeeze out the water inside with your hands, and then put it in a mixing bowl for later use.

3. Put oil in the pot, then add the prepared peanut kernels, cashews and walnut kernels, then turn on low heat and stir-fry slowly. After the aroma comes out, take it out, drain the oil, and then put it into the processed spinach.

4. Peel the garlic and make it into garlic paste and add it to the spinach. Then add vinegar, light soy sauce, MSG and sesame oil. Finally, add the chili oil you made yourself, mix well and serve directly on a plate.
